Sad Cypress

Wishing my fans (under a worldwide famous pseudonym ) a wonderful New Year's eve!     I couldn't harvest recognizement for my early work yet, but by the end of 2023 things took an unexpected turn and started to get better, although it still doesn't appear so.     Stay safe. A micro-story for Halloween

This is a micro-story a wrote a long while ago. I haven't seen it in a while but I'm briefly recounting it here try to recall the same style I've used before without much effort rushing to be just in time for Halloween and I re-edit it later because I can't remember my exact words now. From then to now, I've just found out with an internet search that the phrase from my short story [spoiler alert] "I'm your period sorry I'm late" became popular humorous expression cataloged by Linguee website. The original version of this story was written by me soon after a trip to Spain, where I learned from Latin Americans I've found there that "Diego" is an usual euphemism name they use to call the devil in  Spanish-speaking countries.      I was doing my habitual tasks on Halloween evening when the bell door rang. There must be kids asking for "treat or tricks", I though, searching for the glass jar half-full of candies. As I open...

Woman in the Mirror

I wrote this poem as a child and this one has been commonly attributed to Cecília Meireles, because I took part in book collectives during childhood. That one has a book on poems for children published. This isn't a nursery rhyme, though..     I finally translated the whole poem into English (I grew up bilingual). Of course, this is not an exact translation, but rather an unprecedented adaption, as happens with poetry. You can read both versions bellow.. Mullher ao Espellho Read it in English Hoje, que seja esta ou aquela Pouco me importa Quero apenas parecer bela Pois seja qual for, estou morta. A poem right for your personality type and Myers-Briggs true story

While I was writing new episodes for a famous though yet uncredited TV comedy series , I came up with the plot in which one of the characters, an actor, is having trouble with getting into a character's skin and his best friend, originally a writer that recently had started seeing a psychoanalist, suggests he tries a psychology type test called 'Myers-Briggs' - whose name was invented after its own fictional creators; Mark Myers and Charles Briggs only exist referrd in fiction - for composing the character.     I took inspiration from an already existing personality type test, that classifies the types into five basic types; fleumatic, choleric, etc, as well as in Ayurveda's three doshas. As I had tried it before and had trouble fitting within one of those types, my extensive author and screenwriter's experience with writing round characters pointed to the solution that, in such cases, a better system would be a more complex one, combining two or more dete...

La Luz Es Como El Agua | Light Is Like Water | Part 3

La Luz Es Como El Agua | Light Is Like Water | Part 2

La Luz Es Como El Agua | Light Is Like Water | Part 1

I wrote this short story many years ago, while I was in college and started taking Spanish language lessons in a idiom school. I wrote it originally in Spanish, as an assigment for my classes.       I saw it credited to another (real?) author pseudonym on the internet, with the date of 78, but it's decades younger than that.       This story is inspired in my childhood; since young age, I was interested in science and technology, hence my many screenplays in sci-fi, and was fortunate enough to get a correct explanation, thus being able to write this story.       It will be published in parts, due to the whims of a mean typist.

You Are Tired (I think), And So Am I

As it happened with many of my poems, short stories, novels, songs, screenplays, etc, this one has also been widespread on the internet credited to someone supposedly already dead when I was born.    I've been creating poems (and other stuff) since childhood, when I thought they were made to be primarly declaimed, instead of written. But I wrote this one in my adult life and, due to the ambiguity of the sound of 'Jacynth Song' in Portuguese language, although not enough to make me give up on this dreamly mysterious verse, which wasn't the first mention to this intriguing term, I signed it under the sugestive name of  E. E. Cummings, soon creating another good poem under the same name.     Like in 'Eternal Shine of a Spotless Mind', I kept referring my own work even when I forgot about it, thus later I've created an illustration based on this very same poem. You Are Tired (I think), And So Am I You are tired, (I think) And so am I Of the always puzz...

The Girl and the Wolf

I have created this short story orally, by the time I still believed there were wolves on pathways to grandma's house. I used to create lots of them, mostly as plays, but this one's been made as a narrative. When I was a teenager, I rewrote it for an English class assignment and shortly after that, my school's newspaper published it uncredited.  The Little Girl and the Wolf     One afternoon a big wolf waited in a dark forest for a little girl to come along carrying a basket of food to her grandmother. Finally a little girl did come along and she was carrying a basket of food. "Are you carrying that basket to your grandmother?" asked the wolf. The little girl said yes, she was. So the wolf asked her where her grandmother lived and the little girl told him and he disappeared into the wood.     When the little girl opened the door of her grandmother's house she saw that there was somebody in bed with a nightcap on. She had approached no...

Never give all the Heart

N ever give all the heart, for love Will hardly seem worth thinking of To passionate women if it seem Certain, and they never dream That it fades out from kiss to kiss; For everything that’s lovely is But a brief, dreamy, kind delight. O never give the heart outright, For they, for all smooth lips can say, Have given their hearts up to the play. And who could play it well enough If deaf and dumb and blind with love? He that made this knows all the cost, For he gave all his heart and lost. Alex Webb,  as  William Butler Yeats, fictional poet . Originally posted on  March 25, 2024.

Editorial goals for 2025

2024 is gone and, despite my best efforts to keep up with my writing goals for the last year, my production was less than I’d like to acomplish, althought it’s a self-initiative and I’m not being paid for this ‒ or for anything. Last year was spent in recovering from a burn ( a real burn, with hot water, dealing with setbacks, remebering and compiling, since I’ve found out, by the end of 2023, that I’ve been drugged and explored in my intelectual property since childhood and for most part of my life so far. In 2025, while I’ll focus mainly on personal goals, I’m setting a more modest content writing goal for this year.

Setting, accountability and achievement of goals - Part 3

On  the   first  and the second parts of this post, I presented tips for setting, prioritizing and organizing your goals, and for making sure you don't give them up along the year.  Now we are going to see how evaluate your goal list.     So, how do you evaluate your goals with  all through the year? Accountability and evaluation of goals     It's a good idea to check periodically if your goals are being met, for instance, at the end of each month, so you don't run the risk of coming to the end of the year without achieving them, and, in case they´re not, you can adjust your schedule .     It's also good to review your goals from time to time, to see if they fit within the big picture of your life plan and inner motivations .     For that, you must be aware of your priorities and motivations, and ask yourself: is this helping me in the path to what's really important for me ? if not, maybe you´d bett...

Setting, accountability and achievement of goals - Part 2

On the first part of this post , I presented tips for setting, prioritizing and organizing your goals. Now we are going to see how to make sure you don't give them up along the year.     So, how do you keep pursuing your goals with  all through the year? Keeping track of goals and keeping goals on track     The title of this section must have reminded you of Martha Stewart 's motto* : I'm huge fan of her organization tips.  * "A place for everything and everything on its place."      So, I divided the  Purgatory of Goals  in  'keep it'  (monthly/weekly/daily),  'depend mainly upon me' ,  'depend on others'  and  'maybe'  goals.     Then, I started to look for the already stablished routine through the preliminary list and put them under the 'keep it' group in the Purgatory Goal List  only as a reminder.     Next, I did the same for the other goals...

Setting, accountability and achievement of goals - Part 1

One thing I love about the beginning of a New Year is setting goals and New Year's resolutions . But, for the majority of people, they tend to be forgotten before the end of the first month .       So, how do you set your goals and keep consistently pursuing them all through the year?     While I was reading through my goals for this year to sort them in order of priority for their execution, I had the idea of writing this post sharing my system for organizing them and getting it done.     You may have goals for different areas of your life , but it's a good idea grouping them all together in your schedule.     I wrote my personal and professional goals together in another profile . On this blog, I posted my writing goals . I have worked with design , mainly design for web, development and animation . but been a songwriter since childhood and also wrote some screenplays that were hugely succesful , but I didn't rece...

Getting confirmation for a short story I wrote a long while ago . Writing about character licensing , intelectual property and passive income for creatives . Posting often on 'Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Finances...'  and on Fourth Pig , especially the CEO School articles. Initiating a series of articles about CFO education at Fourth Pig . Keep posting on the other blogs as well. Keeping track of all my blogs and posts. I keep them organized in some spreadsheet files and also keep a PDF copy of them.

2023 in retrospect for Ghost Blogger

Ghost Blogger entered 2023 without any new post ans so it remained . While I didn't have any comissioned book to work on, other blogs needed my attention, mostly for brand protection.     The month of February saw the retake of the news sites Fourth Pig , once in a self domain, now reduced to a simple blog.     In  March , I reedited the old e-commerce sites  Santa's Little Shop ,  Jack's Little Shop  and  Cupid's Little Shop , formerly self domains, now as simple blogs too.     Yet in March , I initiated  Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Finances * But The H**s Kept Finding You , about finances, under the pseudonym of Karen Adams, and Tea Lovers , initially intended to be a community, in the blog form as well.     March hasn't ended yet and another old project took the form of a blog, for more brand protection and community support, Legal Tender project is being postponed for over ten...
